Rerras conducts himself in 'intelligent manner'

To the editor:

The Virginia Senate race is drawing to a close and as expected, Sen. Nick Rerras has conducted himself in a dignified, intelligent manner befitting the office he holds by addressing issues with specific, viable solutions.

He reminds us of why he has been so successful in Richmond. Rerras represents us so well by working very hard, both here and at the Capitol. He has established contacts to work across the aisle without compromising his common-sense principles and presently sits on the committees critical to the Eastern Shore.

Given all of this, in addition to his strong record and accolades earned, we need to return him to Richmond on our behalf.

It is understood that Ralph Northam has a barrel of money with which to spread vague platitudes in the absence of a record or real solutions to problems. I’m sure spending more of your money “for the common good” figures in there, somewhere.

Rather than elevating the debate, he’s chosen to drag the race into the gutter at this late date and of course, he’s a “Shore native.” None of these are reasons to vote for him and there’s certainly no need for change.

As Virginians, we deserve the honorable, dedicated, tried and true leadership our senator provides. Please join me in voting to return Rerras to Richmond in November.
