On Rerras: He's tough on illegals

To the editor:

I am very concerned, as are many of my friends, about the increasing problem of illegal immigration here on the Shore.

I have been thinking about this more and more latedly, since we have an election approaching and we need to make sure we elect leaders who are willing to take a stand and do something about this issue.

That's why I will be voting to re-elect Sen. Nick Rerras.

Rerras has supported legislation that would deny bail for illegal immigrants who are arrested here in Virginia.

He supported legislation that would deny illegals from receiving state benefits such as in-state college tuition.

We need him working for us to make sure new laws like that are passed and working with our law-enforcement to enforce laws that are already on the books.
